Castlewellan Castle

Castlewellan Castle, a nineteenth century Grade B+ listed building, is set in a 1200 acre Forest Park amongst some of the most beautiful scenery in Ireland. The main rooms have breath-taking views across the lake to the Mountains of Mourne. 45 minutes south of Belfast and 90 minutes north of Dublin, The Castle is a thriving centre already highly valued by many Christian groups and schools.

With its spacious grounds and converted cellar area, The Castle is extremely popular with young people but appeals to all age groups. Several new en-suite bedrooms have been added and a new biomass heating system has led to guests renaming it ‘The Cosy Castle’! It has the capability to be used by several groups at the same time - each group having their own conference space.

The Castle is a full board centre with a normal maximum of 175 people, 39 rooms, of which 7 have ensuites

Facilities Include:

Immediate access from private terraces to forest park, lakeside walk, adjacent arboretum and a new 19k mountain bike trail.
